In late August, Main Street Guthrie Center finalized a purchase on the Williams Building downtown. Since then, MSGC has fielded offers for two of the available retail spaces. However, MSGC is still seeking other possible tenants.

In the meantime, MSGC is busy remodeling the property. Program Director Dana Buster explains the scale of the remodeling. “We’ve been doing a lot of prep work to get this space ready for rental; removing lots of layers of flooring, and old cabinets, and replacing things and really getting started with the construction process. It’s still pretty much a blank slate.”

Buster also mentioned that MSGC is hoping to utilize students from the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School shop class to assist with the renovations. To learn more about the property or to take a tour, contact MSGC.
