DSCN7523Over $43,000 was raised at the 19th annual Jefferson Rotary Charity Auction Friday night.

About 200 people attended the event at the Greene Room events center at Wild Rose. There was 56 live auction items, as well as 74 silent auction items. There were several trips in the live auction, including: a one week trip to Maui, Hawaii that went for $2,700; an $8,000 trip for four couples to San Lucas, Mexico; along with two Okoboji condo time share ownerships for a year and also choosing to go to Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach or Branson that went for $2,600 and $1,000 respectively. There were also ten winners announced for the cash raffle in which each winner received $250. Another $1,000 was raised through the cash raffle.

Last year the auction raised over $33,000. Rotarian Adam Pedersen was the auction chair of this year’s event. All proceeds will go back to the Jefferson Rotary Club for local projects and organizations.
