New girls basketball coach Chris Morrow won’t have much time to learn about his new basketball team.  The Jayettes reported for preseason work Monday and must come together with their new leader in a short stretch of days before their season opener next Friday night.

“It will be  a quick turnaround, that’s for sure,” said Morrow.  “We have our jamboree early next week so this week will be about fundamentals and getting to know my team.  I have 27 kids to look at and decide where everyone fits in the big picture.”

Morrow has his varsity lineup after three days of practice and will release the roster during Friday night’s Meet the Team gathering.

“We have a strong returning core of six players from last year.  Now we need to figure out who can help and supplement those girls.  I think everybody is excited about the process.”
