The decorated collegiate football career of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers graduate Jordan Grove came to an end Saturday in the state of Ohio. Grove, a fifth-year senior fullback/tight end for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats, began his final playoff run in Ashland, Ohio versus the Ashland University Eagles. The No. 3 seeded Eagles outlast the No. 6 seeded Bearcats, 21-18.

Trailing 21-10 in the fourth quarter, Bearcat quarterback Zach Martin connected with Grove for a 35-yard touchdown with 7:32 remaining the game. He ended the contest with 38 receiving yards on three catches. Grove capped his college football career with a record of 64-5, winning the Division II National Championship three times (2013, 2015, 2016). He recorded 2,622 all-purpose yards for the Bearcats and scored 24 total touchdowns.

The Northwest Missouri State Bearcat football team ends the season with a 9-3 overall record.
