Greene County RamsThe Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.

The Board will conduct its monthly work session at 5:15pm. The Board will review the board goals, develop action steps to achieve those goals and establish evaluation data. Because the meeting is a work session, no action will take place.

The regular meeting starts at 6:30pm. Under reports, there will be a review of the recent FFA National Convention and a student construction house update.

The Board will then consider for approval a sharing agreement with Paton-Churdan High School, hiring an architecture firm for the proposed new high school and regional academy, an early dismissal for December 15th, an elementary school building roof repair, a School Board Review Committee request for English Language Learner for beyond five years and open enrollment out not on the previous enrollment. Additionally, the Board will consider appointments to the School Improvement Advisory Committee, the 2018 Iowa Drug and Alcohol Testing program, winter athletic officials list and adopting action steps for reaching board goals from the work session.

Other items the Board will discuss include: high school online classes, a Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation report, a graduation speaker, early retirement program and board policy reviews.

Both meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
