All last month scarecrows lined the streets of Guthrie Center for a contest sponsored by Main Street Guthrie Center.

About a dozen businesses made their best creations for small cash prizes and bragging rights. This year Dowd Drug received the most votes on Facebook with 62. The pharmacy received $50 for their display. Cut Loose Salon came in second with 50 votes and Strawberry Patch finished in third with 47. Cut Loose and Strawberry Patch received $40 and $30 prizes respectively.
