A US Congressional candidate for the House of Representatives will be stopping in Jefferson this week.

Democrat candidate J.D. Scholten is running for the US House of Representatives in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District. The Sioux City resident is a litigation paralegal that specializes in Intellectual Property law. He is also a former professional minor league baseball player.

Scholten will be at the Greene County Extension office on Tuesday, October 24th at 7pm for a meet and greet event, sponsored by the Greene County Democratic Party.

The event is free and open to the public.
