An eventful week of volleyball continues tonight at home for the Panorama Panthers volleyball team (7-19 overall). The Panthers return to the court for a West Central Activities Conference contest versus the Des Moines Christian Lady Lions (19-8 overall). DMC defeated Panorama in last year’s matchup in Urbandale in straight sets (9-25, 15-25, 17-25).

The Panthers competition week started Tuesday in Earlham as Panorama dropped the league match in three games (25-27. 14-25, 20-25). Senior Nicole Rolfes and junior Brooke Halterman paced the Panther offense with six kills apiece. Kennedy Kuta served up 19 assists, while Rolfes and junior Erica Block led the Panther defense with seven digs each.

The Lady Lions are winners of their last five contests, dropping one set during that time frame. Des Moines Christian has multiple conference statical leaders on their squad including the league leader in kills (Ava VanSoelen; 205), assists (Alayna Bakke; 600) and digs (Emma Veenstra; 314). Tonight’s West Central Activities Conference varsity match between Panorama and Des Moines Chrisitan serves around 7 p.m. in Panora.
