panoraThe Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Council approved the sale of the City’s 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck for $3,200. The Council then approved the Urban Renewal Plan Amendment to the Central Panora Urban Renewal Area and an agricultural development agreement with Heartland Cooperative. The development agreement will authorize annual appropriation tax increment payments and pledge certain tax increment revenues to the payment.

The Council then approved a proposal from Y.T. Construction to install new sidewalks at Michael Mills Park. The Council also approved changes to the Council Handbook relating to agenda submission protocol and adding current police scheduling protocol to the Employee Handbook. The meeting concluded with discussion on various handbook topics, including: police on-call procedures, pay scales, uniforms, city employee sharing, city hall hours, and other personnel related matters.
