iowa watercolor societyThe arts are alive and well in Guthrie and Adair counties. The Fall Arts Festival kicks off today in Panora, as does the Iowa Watercolor Society’s (IWS) Traveling Show at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield. The traveling exhibit will fill the lobby/gallery of the Center through the end of November. The exhibit includes 30 of the Society’s best paintings and represents 24 Iowa artists. The paintings were featured at the annual competition in Perry last month.

The Society is comprised of 170 amateur and professional artists. IWS offers networking opportunities and membership is only contingent on an interest in the art form. The exhibit is open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and during WCC events. There is no cost to tour the exhibit.
