Nobody in Class 3A football has more solo tackles than Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers junior Nick Bradshaw through the first eight weeks of the season. Bradshaw, a strong side linebacker for head coach Mike Whisner, has single-handedly recorded 74 stops for the Tigers defense this season, 11 coming behind the line of scrimmage. No one else in Class 3A has more than 66 solo tackles.

Bradshaw had his best defensive output in last Friday’s 44-43 setback versus the Creston Panthers. He recorded a game-high 20 solo tackles, including six for loss. Whisner says Bradshaw’s a guy who comes to play every Friday. “He hits people, and he sees the offense very well.” Whisner said, “He finds the ball, and he’ll make a play. He’s very competitive and does a nice job on defense.

Bradshaw and the ADM football team closes their season Friday in Glenwood versus the Rams (7-1 overall). Glenwood won last year’s meeting in Adel, 44-14.
