WCV (1)After dropping a closely contested match last week against the Madrid Tigers, the West Central Valley Wildcats are looking to get back in the win column tonight against the Manson-NW Webster Cougars. Last year, the Cougars came out in front in Stuart, 20-8.

Last year senior running back Keaton Wood dominated the game, rolling for 187 yards rushing and two touchdowns. This year the Cougars have stepped up the passing game. Junior quarterback Derek Girard has racked up six touchdowns and 528 passing yards with just one interception. Most of those targets are sent towards senior Keegan Pritchard who has 288 yards receiving on the season with five touchdowns. The Cougars are coming off a week four win against Eagle Grove, a team that has already beaten the Wildcats this season.

The Wildcats are looking to continue their ability to spread the ball around, especially to all-round talent Brock Wolfe. While Wolfe was far from putting up his best performance of the season last Friday, other Wildcats stepped up. Junior Cole Arnburg had arguably the best night of his career against Madrid, hauling in five catches for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Kaleb Badker also put up a solid performance with 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm in Manson.
