The Adel woman who had gone missing Friday evening was found dead Saturday morning.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office reported the body of 70-year-old Svetlana Kornilova was found on the property at 27075 N Avenue north of Adel, which is where she was last seen Friday afternoon. Initial reports say there was nothing suspicious in nature, but the Sheriff’s office is still investigating. More details may be released once all family members have been located and advised of the situation.

Kornilova was reported missing after a call came into the dispatch center just after 6 p.m. Friday, and they were advised she had made comments of harming herself. Sheriff’s deputies were aided in the search by the Adel and Dallas Center Fire Departments, and the Iowa State Patrol.
