The Veterans Groups in Jefferson will host a Soup Supper tonight from 5 pm to 7 pm at the VFW Hall on the east side of the square in Jefferson. The menu will include: Chili, chicken noodle soup, desserts and beverages. Cost is a free-will donation. Bring your old and tattered flags for proper disposal. There will be a flag deposit bin in the alley.
The 2nd Annual Rippey Public Library Fundraiser Car Show will be held on Saturday Sep 23 from 11-3. Contact the Rippey Public Library to register a vehicle . Registration cost is a $10 before the 20th or $15 after. All vehicles are welcome. First 100 vehicles will get a dash placket. Awards and Drawings will take place at 2:30 pm
The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library will be holding their 25th annual Used Book Sale at the Library. September 23 is open to Friends of the Library Members only with $5 Memberships sold at the door, and then open to the Public 25th through the 30. Every thing will be half price on the 30th. They are also excepting donations of Books,CDs, DVDs Audio Tapes, Games and Puzzles.
