acgcThe Lady Chargers were looking like a force to be reckoned with early in the season. But since the Griswold Tournament last Saturday, the team has looked a little out of sorts. Last night ACGC dropped another match, this time in three sets to district opponents Van Meter, 17-25, 23-25, and 16-25. ACGC now sits at 2-1 in district play and 8-5 overall.

Head Coach Lyndsey Noe says her team has lacked mental toughness in critical situations in the last few matches. Noe also commented on the inability to finish in sets, especially in the second match of last weekend’s tournament against Southwest Valley. Noe will be looking for more consistency in the coming key matches. Makayla Hoing kept her consistent play going last weekend as she was named to the Griswold All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Chargers have a big weekend ahead of them, as they host their fall tournament. The field includes Audubon, CAM, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Exira-EHK, Glidden-Ralston, Underwood, and West Central Valley.
