The Greene County Sheriff’s office responded to an accident on Highway 30 near the overpass bridge project.
Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio the accident happened around 7:30am Monday. A driver of a semi-tractor trailer was heading east on Highway 30 when he suffered a medical complication and drove through part of the construction area of the overpass bridge in Grand Junction. Williams says the driver managed to stop the semi short of the bridge frame that didn’t have concrete poured on it yet. The driver was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County Emergency Medical Services. The name of the driver hasn’t been released.
