A weekend accident results in injuries and charges in Greene County.

Sheriff Jack Williams says just before 5pm Sunday, a deputy responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Eaton Avenue, about 1.5 miles north of Scranton. Twenty-one-year-old Zachary Waters of Scranton was traveling south in his 1997 Honda Passport, when he lost control and rolled it several times into the west ditch. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.

Waters was uninjured. He was cited for driving while suspended, a seat belt violation and failure to maintain control. His passenger, 26-year-old Ieisha Riley of Scranton was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines by air ambulance. The extent of her injuries and her current condition is unknown at this time.

The vehicle was a total loss.
