Guthrie County School Board Election Unofficial Results

IMG_1180The unofficial results from the West Central Valley School District Elections are in. According to the Dallas County Auditor’s Office, District Three incumbent Nyle Godwin will retain his seat. Godwin received 242 votes. Challengers Mike Dickson and Michael Egger received 194 and 158 votes respectively. Voters have chosen Christine Stiles to fill the open District Four spot, receiving 55 percent of the vote. Challenger Jill Gerling received 45 percent. Incumbent Jenyse Belden will retain the District Six seat, receiving 57 percent of the vote. Challenger Mick Askren received 42 percent. Finally voters unofficially elected Laura Weber to replace incumbent Neal Crawford as the District Seven representative. Weber received 55 percent of the vote and Crawford received 45 percent. All results will be finalized once the Dallas County Board of Supervisors officially canvass the votes on Friday.

The unofficial results from Guthrie County school board elections are also in. According to the County Auditor’s Office, voters chose Wes Policky and Sarah Langgaard to fill the two open positions on the Guthrie Center School Board. The candidates received 36 and 35 votes respectively.

For the Panorama School Board, Cale Kastner received 11 votes and will be the representative from District One. Write-In candidate Jenny VanGundy received 8 votes. Incumbent Deb Douglaas has been unofficially reelected to fill the District Two position, receiving 45 votes. Challenger Lee White received 10 votes. District Four incumbent Jon Stetzel has also been unofficially reelected, receiving 13 votes with no write-in votes cast.

Finally, Jim Knott has been unofficially reelected to the Des Moines Area Community College Board of Directors, receiving 82 votes. All results will be finalized once the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors officially canvass the votes.
