Greene County plays volleyball at home in the middle school gym in Jefferson tomorrow night against non-conference opponent Carroll and Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival Gilbert. This will be the first appearance in front of the home fans this season for Coach Donna Carhill’s Rams.

None of the three teams in action tonight had a winning record entering play on Tuesday, but Gilbert is 6-6 and ranked number 11 in Class 3A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. All the losses by the Tigers are to teams ranked number one, or rated Class 4A or 5A squads.

Carroll was 3-9 and had lost five in a row going into action last night.

The Rams are 5-6 overall and 12-13 in sets. They are 1-0 in HOIAC action. Starting time for varsity volleyball is 5 p.m. Thursday in the middle school gym.
