With three meets under their belt, the Panorama Panthers girls’ cross country team appears to be in mid-season form. The Panthers’ won the team title in their previous two races, including last Thursday’s Greene County Cross Country Invitational at Spring Lake Park. Four Panthers placed in the top 10 at Spring Lake, helping Panorama to the Class A team title with 39 points. The Panthers edged county rival AC/GC by six points.

Freshman Ella Waddle was the first Panther runner to cross the finish line Thursday, placing third overall with a time of 20:22. Senior Devyn Kemble finished 26 seconds behind Waddle for fourth place. Senior Brianna Hoffman recorded the race’s ninth best time at 22:18, and freshman Gwen Steffen rounded out the top 10 with a time of 22:34. Panorama’s top seven runners all placed in the top 30.

The Panthers boys’ cross country team finished sixth overall at Greene County with a team score of 167. Senior Josh Cartens had the best performance, clocking the 14th best race time at 18:03.
The Panorama cross country teams are gearing up for their home race this Thursday at the Lake Panorama Par 3 golf course.
