The Iowa Association of Track Coaches (IATC) continues to think highly of Adel-Desoto-Minburn (ADM) junior Sadie Jurgens. IATC submitted their latest individual cross country rankings this week, and Jurgens moved up to No. 13 in the Class 3A poll. Jurgens was the No. 14 runner last week before placing first at ADM’s home meet, the Tiger Invitational, on Monday at Hillcrest Country Club. It was the first race championship of the season for Jurgens and her fourth straight top-five performance.

Three runners for the Raccoon River Conference made the Class 3A poll this week including Carlisle junior Megan Sievers (fifth), Jurgens (13th), and Ballard sophomore Ellie Tweedt (14th). The ADM boys and girls cross country teams won’t return to competition until next Thursday, running in the Leon Fox Invitational at Perry’s Golf and Country Club.
