Two meets up, two meets down for the ADM cross country teams continuing on through the 2017 season.

While there is a lot of room to improve on both sides, there as already been great strides made by the Tiger boys and the Lady Tigers.

On the girls side Sadie Juergens continues to lead ADM after a 5th place finish in the season opener and a second place finish earlier this week in Winterset. The Lady Tigers as a whole matched up against two 4A  ranked squads Urbandale (14th) and Dowling-Catholic (2nd) in Urbandale along with the likes of 7th ranked Dallas Center-Grimes and 6th ranked Ballard Bombers in Winterset.

On the boys side there seems to be three early front runners. Through two meets Freshmen Ethan Juergens has led the pack for ADM notching 15th place in Urbandale and 6th in Winterset. Fellow freshmen Nate Mueller has also proven to be a strong link for the Tigers landing in the top three Tiger runners the last two meets including an 8th place finish in Winterset. Also a front runner has been West Central Valley transfer Rylan Heffernan who has followed up his state meet season with a strong start to 2017 placing 16th in Urbandale and 10th in Winterset.

The Tiger boys have also had tough competition facing top 4A ranked Dowling Catholic and 4A ranked 13th Indianola in week one followed by class 1A’s 14th ranked Madrid and reigning 1A champ Nodaway Valley this week.

Both Tiger cross country teams will be back in action on Monday in Huxley.
