The ADM Tiger football team is just one day away from opening up district play for the 2017 season. They will be taking the short drive to Winterst to battle long time rival Huskies.

As the Tigers enter tomorrow’s contest they’ll have already gone through a mini gauntlet against 5th ranked Dallas Center-Grimes and Ballard with 7 points and 303 total yards offensively through 8 quarters. Now the Tigers will look to continue a recent trend against Winterset for their first win of the season. Over the past 8 match ups, there have been 5 games  held in Winterset and ADM has walked away with a 4-1 record.

Raccoon Valley Radio sat down with head coach Mike Whisner  as he talked about the strength of schedule up to this point and how it’s back to basics for his team to win Friday.

“We field pretty strong opponents for those non district game so that’s kind of your measuring stick of where you’re at and where you want to be and we need to improve in all phases so that’s what we’ve been working on. Really it comes down to blocking and tackling better than the other team and we haven’t been able to do that the first two games so that’s what we’ve really worked on,” stated coach Whisner.
