The trial dates for the five suspects in the death of 16-year-old Sabrina Ray of Perry were recently unified.

The trials for Marc, Misty, and Justin Ray, along with Carla and Josie Bousman were initially scheduled at various times this fall. However, all trials have now been moved and will commence on October 30th. The five individuals are each being charged in connection to the May 12th death of Sabrina, who was the adopted daughter of Marc and Misty. Sabrina was found dead in their home, and the State Medical Examiner determined she died of severe malnutrition and abuse. She weighed 56 pounds at the time of her death.

According to court documents, Carla, the mother of Misty and the adopted grandmother of Sabrina, went before the judge for a pretrial conference Friday morning. She had filed a motion to be released from custody for medical reasons. Her request was denied, and she remains at the Dallas County Jail on $500,000 bond. Court documents state she will receive any necessary medical treatment from the health care service provider that has contracted with the jail.

40-year-old Misty Ray is being charged on 11 counts, including: three counts of kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; and three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, a class C felony.

 

 

 

21-year-old Justin Ray is being charged on four counts, including: one count of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in bodily injury, a class D felony; and two counts of willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony.

 

 

 

 

 

62-year-old Carla Bousman is being charged on five counts, including: three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; and one count of obstructing prosecution or defense, an aggravated misdemeanor.

 

 

 

 

 

20-year-old Josie Bousman is being charged on five counts, including: three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; and one count of obstructing prosecution or defense, an aggravated misdemeanor.
