stuart-police-departmentA Stuart man faces several charges following an executed search warrant Monday.

According to the Stuart Police Department, officers executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Northwest 10th Street in Stuart Monday. Authorities searched 16 acres of the property and recovered several reported stolen items. Most of the items were money, tools and kayaks, most which were returned to their rightful owners.

Officers then arrested Stephen Dennis Kunkle and charged him with a Class D Felony for third degree burglary, aggravated misdemeanors for his second offense of possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglary tools, two serious misdemeanors for possession of stolen property and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The burglaries took place between July 20th and August 4th.
