A Perry man will be sentenced next month in Greene County District Court.

According to court documents, 49-year-old Daryle Dewayne Snyder pled guilty to a Class D Felony for second degree theft.

The charge stems from Snyder stealing items from his former employer’s warehouse in the 700 block of North Wilson Avenue in Jefferson for over a year. The victim reported the missing items on January 22nd to the Greene County Sheriff’s office. Most items were recovered at a relative’s house in Perry and other items were sold to an individual in Guthrie Center.

Court documents show that a plea agreement has been reached. The defense attorney is recommending a suspended prison sentence for probation, and for Snyder to pay for victim restitution and court-appointed attorney fees.

Snyder’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 22nd.
