Perry Football Hoping For Stronger 2017 Season in District Play

The Perry Bluejay football team is hoping for a stronger year two in Class 3A District 2 competition this fall.  Perry started the season 2-0 after non-district wins against North Polk and Nevada. The Bluejays followed with 7 straight district losses to finish 2-7 on the season.  District 2 opponents outscored Perry 272-39.  Perry has opened up practice and is getting set for their season opener at North Polk August 25th.  Webster City and Boone shared the District title after going 6-1.  Dallas Center Grimes went 5-2 and both Ballard and Gilbert closed out 4-3.  Iowa Falls-Alden went 2-5 and Greene County 1-6.
