A multi-vehicle wreck took place in front of the Dollar General in Perry Wednesday afternoon.

According to police reports, at just before 4 p.m. a 2002 Ford Escort driven by 30-year-old Joshua Hussman of Perry was in the northbound lanes of 1st Street, attempting to turn into the Dollar General parking lot. His vehicle was then hit by a 1997 Geo Prizm driven by 49-year-old Maria Ortega of Perry, who was travelling in the southbound lanes. A white van was also suspected of being involved in the wreck, but it was ruled out after investigation.

The Perry Police Department, Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, but it’s unknown at this time if there were any injuries. The incident is under investigation. Raccoon Valley Radio will have more information as it becomes official.
