The Jefferson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who is believed to have stolen several items.

On Monday, July 31st around 7:45pm, a male reportedly removed several tools from a Durlam Electric vehicle when it was parked in the Jefferson Fareway parking lot. The value of the tools is about $600. The police department says the suspect’s vehicle appears to be a white Mercury Sable and an image from Fareway’s video surveillance shows damage to the right front corner of the vehicle and there is a handicap placard hanging from the rear-view mirror.
