A number of changes have either taken place or will be happening under the direction of first year Greene County head football coach Mitch Moore. That includes the Friday night the week before the football regular season begins. Tonight’s event is now called Greene County Football Family Night. It’s scheduled for 6-9 p.m. at Linduska Field in Jefferson and will feature not only players in grades 9-12, but elementary students up through eighth grade.

Coach Moore told Raccoon Valley Radio the high school players will have an intrasquad scrimmage while those in eighth grade and younger will play Battle Ball. Greene County Farm Bureau is also involved with various activities, and the Greene County Activities Booster Club will be renewing current memberships and seeking new memberships. The kickoff for the football scrimmage is at 7 p.m.

Tonight’s events will set the stage the season opening night of football in one week. The Rams will host the Knights of Kuemper Catholic at Linduska Field in Jefferson on August 25 with a freshman game at 4:45 p.m. and the varsity contest at 7:30 p.m.

All the Rams varsity games will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
