guthrie county sheriffAs thousands of people enjoyed Guthrie’s River Ruckus this past weekend, no one planned on being in close contact with an airplane.

Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright says Saturday around 5:30pm a small airplane flew in from the south and got within feet of concert goers and campers alike at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. Arganbright adds if someone had been on top of their camper, they would’ve been able to touch the aircraft as it flew over.

The airplane made another pass through the crowd as it came back going east to west. Arganbright says they contacted the Federal Aviation Administration, who is investigating the incident. Through cellphone video and pictures, the FAA was able to identify the aircraft, but no other information is currently available according to Arganbright. No one was hurt in the incident.
