The 2017 Iowa high school cross country season is officially in it’s second week of practice and with it another exciting week for ACGC cross country.

Head coach Collin Shawgo brings back a litany of talent and experience for the second season under the Charger name which are just a few of the things he finds most exciting about the 2017 season.

“The girls team is very exciting because we didn’t graduate anyone, we get our state champion back (Kate Crawford), all of our pieces are healthy and came off of a really really good track season. The girls team is shaping up to have a really really special season this year. For the boys we’ve got some young guns that are coming up and some new comers on the team so we’re looking to build them up and hopefully make another run at a trophy this season,” stated coach Shawgo.

The competitive season for both Charger girls and boys teams will begin with their home opener as well on August 24th up against an 11 team field.
