The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

One thing the Council plans to address is the City’s fireworks ordinance. Due to the timing of the legalization of fireworks in Iowa, they had to work as quickly as possible to get an ordinance on the books. Now that they have some time, the Council wanted to review the ordinance and possibly tweak it.

Another item on the agenda is to set public hearings approving plans for sewer improvements, and plans for sewer lining. They will also consider for approval plans for sanitary sewer cleaning, a tax abatement application for a construction project completed in 2016, and settlement of flushable wipes litigation.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at City Hall.
