Perry Baseball Begins Post season Quest Tonight

July 14, 2017 6:23 am

The Perry baseball team will put a frustrating regular season behind them tonight when they open up 3A district play with a 5:00 game against Boone.  The game will be the first of two at North Polk as the host Comets welcome Dallas Center Grimes in the other district opener.  Tonight’s meeting will mark the third time that Perry has played Boone this season.  The Toreadors beat Perry 9-0 back in early June on a Dresden Wilson 5 hit shutout.  Recently, the Toreadors scored 7 times in the top of the 7th inning to beat Perry 14-4.  Jayton Hull provided a home run and knocked in 4.  Boone enters tonight’s game with a mark of 19-10 and lost their regular season finale to Webster City 6-5.

Shawn Kenney will provide play by play coverage tonight starting at 4:45 on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
