Jefferson Police BadgeThe Jefferson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying individuals involved in an ongoing vandalism investigation.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says they’ve been receiving constant reports of vandalism in the southeast part of town, around the Vest Street area. There have been reports of individuals throwing tomatoes and eggs at houses, as well as flipping over swing sets and trampolines. Clouse believes the same individuals are also knocking on doors and windows late at night and running away. He points out that the consequences for those criminals include criminal mischief and trespassing. He adds that there is now extra patrol officers in that area in the evenings.
