The Jefferson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a fraudulent credit card case.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says a credit card was stolen from a Jefferson resident on July 4th. The female suspect made two transactions at the Dollar General in Perry and two additional transactions were denied in Jefferson. Clouse adds they are waiting on bank statements from the victim’s account to determine how much was charged to his card.

A picture of the suspect is from a security camera at Dollar General in Perry. The Jefferson Police Department is investigating the incident with the Perry Police Department. If anyone has information on who the suspect is, they can contact the non-emergency number of the Greene County Law Enforcement Center at 386-2136 or they can message the Jefferson Police Department on their Facebook page.
