Grand JunctionThe City of Grand Junction’s northeast side is experiencing a power outage.

Mayor Teresa Lansman says the Grand Junction Municipal crews believe the cause of the outage to be a broken underground wire. The outage was first reported before 11am and Lansman says the outage is mainly contained to the City’s northeast side. She adds that the community center is open for those residents affected by the outage to cool off from the summer heat.

Lansman says it could be as late as midnight before power is restored.
