Trial dates have been set for two suspects connected to the death investigation of 16-year-old Sabrina Ray in Perry.

Court documents say Justin Ray and Carla Bousman will stand trial on September 18th. A pre-trial date is scheduled for August 18th. According to sources, Justin entered a not guilty plea to four charges, including: one count of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in bodily injury, a class D felony; and two counts of willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony. The charges stem from incidents where he allegedly physically abused Sabrina. It’s still unknown, pending official autopsy results, whether the incidents played a part in Sabrina’s death.

Carla faces charges in the case as well and hasn’t entered a plea. Justin’s request to lower his $100,000 bond was denied by a judge Friday. Carla’s bond review hearing was continued until June 30th. Justin is the adopted brother of Sabrina and the biological child of Marc and Misty Ray, who are also facing charges relating to the teen’s death. A fifth suspect, Josie Bousman, faces charges and is still awaiting her trial date. All five suspects are still being held at the Dallas County jail. 40-year-old Misty Ray is being charged on 11 counts, including: three counts of kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; and three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person, a class C felony.

 

 

 

21-year-old Justin Ray is being charged on four counts, including: one count of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, a class C felony; one count of child endangerment resulting in bodily injury, a class D felony; and two counts of willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony.

 

 

 

 

 

62-year-old Carla Bousman is being charged on five counts, including: three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony; and one count of obstructing prosecution or defense, an aggravated misdemeanor.

 

 

 

 

 

20-year-old Josie Bousman is being charged on four counts, including: three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony; and one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony.
