The Perry offense didn’t waste any time Thursday night as the 7th ranked Jayettes defeated 13th ranked Boone 4-0 in RRC action at the PAC.  Perry scored three times in the bottom of the first inning highlighted by Johanna Diw’s 13th home run of the year.  She is currently second in the state of Iowa in home runs.  Alyssa Kruger, Rachel Kinney, Emma Olejniczak and Maddie West strung together four consecutive hits with Olejniczak and West picking up RBI’s.  Perry added another run in the third on a West RBI.  The four runs were plenty for Olejniczak who threw her third straight shutout of the week.  She allowed just 3 baserunners all night while striking out 7.  She has now shut out the high powered Boone offense twice this year.

Perry improves to 21-7 overall and will travel to Pella this weekend for the Little Dutch tournament.  Perry will spend 2 nights in the Central College dormitories and play two games on Saturday with Pella Christian and Grinnell.
