As the 2017 regular season starts to wind down, the post season path slowly starts to come into view thanks to the recent release of the baseball district assignments for each class.

For head coach Jason Book and his ADM Tiger squad, they find themselves located in district 15 with a field comprised of fellow Raccoon River Conference member Carroll, Heart Of Iowa Conference member Greene County, and class 3A top ranked Harlan. ADM and Harlan currently sit as the only two teams in the district 15 field with a winning record; the Cyclones wielding the better of the two currently resting at 20 wins and just one loss. As for ADM, the Tigers will be heading into this weeks action with a mark of 13-8. Greene County follows ADM with a current record of 9-11 while Carroll enters this week with a mark of 1-19.

ADM has seen each of the district 15 teams at least once in the span of the last 7 seasons. Aside from conference foe Carroll where ADM battles their conference counter part twice per season, ADM has faced off against Greene County and Harlan a combined total of three times since 2010. The lone contest against Greene County came out well in ADM’s favor with a 16-1 victory back in the 2010 post season. The Tigers have squared off against Harlan twice in the time frame loosing both match ups including a postseason defeat back in 2015.

The winner of the district 15 field will take on sub-state action against the winner of district 16 and from there the right to move on the the state tournament in Des Moines. The district 16 field is comprised of Glenwood who leads the pack at 12-8 then followed by Creston (9-13), Atlantic (8-12), and Denison-Schleswig (8-14). The exact brackets will be released later this week but regardless the postseason for ADM begins on July 14th.
