New Orange tees are visible at Jefferson Community Golf Course. Course Manager Micah Destival told Raccoon Valley Radio what the tees are for. “We’ve put in an orange set of tees, which are forward at 2,400 yards. It’s a par 38 and it’s called our Scoring Course. What the objective of that is, is to make it feasible for everybody, regardless of skill level, to hit a shot off the tee, then hit a shot onto the green, and have a shot at birdie.”

Destival added a record board is kept at the Clubhouse with the best scores for the Scoring Course by gender, age groups, handicap, etc. He said in the one week it’s been in place those that have tried it, like it. Others may not have tried the orange tees yet, but are talking about them.
