If you were looking for an offensive showcase between ADM and Carlisle in softball action last night, you would be disappointed as defense dominated the evening.

The Lady Tigers and Lady Wildcats would combine for nine total hits with two runs pushed across the plate. Unfortunately for ADM, both of those two runs came in favor of Carlisle who held the ADM line up at bay to take the season series win 2-0.

The two Carlisle runs came via two RBI singles with one in the fourth and the second in the 6th. Carlisle ended the fast paced contest with those two earned runs off of 5 hits while suffering two errors. The ADM offense would be hard pressed to find much activity scratching four hits in the contest with two self inflicted errors.

Inside the circle, Carlisle’s Sara Scott gave the ADM line up fits all game long with effective use of location and off-speed pitches resulting in 11 ADM ground outs. Scott would acquire the win with a solid night comprised of two strikeouts, no earned runs. Meanwhile ADM’s Abbie Hlas pitched a  more than solid outing  with just six hits allowed for two earned runs on no walks while issuing 5 strikeouts in the loss.

ADM  drops to 11-11, 3-6 in the conference and will look to get back on the winning track tomorrow when they enter into a ten team field tournament in Roland with action beginning at 8:30 am.
