Xenia Rural Water District has lifted the boil advisory for their southwest Dallas County customers.

Human Resources and Administration Manager Corey Iben says a boil advisory was in effect Friday afternoon for about 450 customers south and east of Redfield and west of DeSoto. The boil advisory was due to a water main break south of Highway 6 on H Avenue, west of Adel. He adds that they were able to locate the leak and isolate it while keeping service to the affected customers. However, due to low pressure issues in the area, an advisory had to go into effect.

The water samples passed their tests and were free of contaminants.
