Both ADM softball and baseball teams are in action tonight as they head south to take on conference foe, the Huskies of Winterset.

Both squads are coming off of strong wins on Friday starting with the Tiger baseball team who road Kade Overton’s 12 strikeout night to earn a 7-2 win over Bondurant-Farrar. ADM baseball will now look to take that momentum into Winterset tonight for the series sweep over the Huskies. First pitch for that match up begins at 7:30 pm. The Tigers are 13-8 entering tonight’s contest.

On the softball diamond, ADM will also be riding high off of a standout win against non conference foe Knoxville last Friday where the Lady Tigers reached their season high for hits in a game with 16. Those 16 hits helped ADM to not only win but dominate Knoxville 8-0. Inside the circle it was a gem of a game from Abbie Hlas who went the distance of 7 innings pitched while giving up just two hits, no walks, no earned runs and a season high 10 strikeouts. The Lady Tigers, now 18-13 overall, seek a little conference revenge over Winterset after falling to the Lady Huskies in game one in Adel by a 6-2 margin. Currently, Winterset has just 5 losses on the ledger and coming in ranked third in the class 4A polls.

You can catch the softball action in Winterset on K107.9 FM beginning with pregame coverage just before 7:15 pm and first pitch to follow at 7:30 pm.
