Emergency crews responded to a three vehicle wreck in Perry on Highway 141 next to Shopko Friday night, which sent at least one person to the hospital.

The accident happened just after 10 p.m. and involved a station wagon, SUV, and pickup truck. According to the Perry Fire Department, the station wagon was travelling westbound on Highway 141 when it ran a red light. The SUV, a Chevy Suburban, was eastbound attempting to turn into the Shopko parking lot, when it was hit on the passenger side by the station wagon. The momentum took both vehicles into the pickup. One person was taken by ambulance to Dallas County Hospital with what are believed to be non-serious injuries. Another injured person refused transport to the hospital. The pickup was able to drive off on its own. The station wagon and Suburban had to be towed away.

The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff, Perry Fire Department, Perry First Responders, and Dallas County Emergency Medical Services all assisted at the scene. Raccoon Valley Radio will have more information as it becomes official.
