Throughout the hustle and bustle of the state track meet, the ADM boys golf team was busy punching their tickets to the state golf meet.

The Tigers advanced from sectional play to district play this past Friday held at the Atlantic Golf & Country Club. ADM faced fierce competition of four teams but clinched their spots with a team score of 321. That score was preceded only by class 3A’s top team in Atlantic taking a team score of 309.

Individually it was Micah Moyer to lead the way striking a round of 78, just one stroke off of his 18 hole low score of the season. Moyer was followed by sectional runner up medalist Jacob Schumacher connecting on a round of 79 for the day. Matthew West swung for his best 18 hole round of the season matching with 80 strokes on the day. Rounding out the Tiger line up included Adam O’Connor with an 84, Will Geadelman with an 87, and finally Grant Curran with a 96.

Next up its the big dance for the Tiger boys as they will take the road trip to the Spring Valley Golf Course in Livermore for the 3A state tournament.  That will take place Friday May 26th and Saturday May 27th with Friday’s action teeing off at 10:30 am while Saturday begins at 8:00 am.
