The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

Among the items on the agenda include the continuation of public hearings related to Tyson Foods in Perry. Last week the Board held a public hearing regarding an easement between Tyson and Dallas County Conservation to relocate a portion of the Raccoon River Valley Bike Trail at Tyson’s expense so they can expand part of their operations. The other public hearing related to Tyson is the purchasing of a small portion of county-owned land. The Supervisors recessed both public hearings until this week so they could continue the discussion without having to repost them.

Additional public hearings will be held to discuss a budget amendment, and Neill Heitmann rezone. Other topics on the agenda include discussion and possible action regarding the Adams Township pioneer cemetery funds request, law enforcement center site survey proposals, a service contract with Finestead Enterprises, and proposed restructuring for the public health department.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 9 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
