In an effort to help a local community with the healing process, the Perry Ministerial Association invites the public to a memorial service tonight following the tragic death of 16-year-old Sabrina Ray.

The service will take place at the First Christian Church in Perry at 7pm. Reverend Andrea Brownlee tells Raccoon Valley Radio that several community members approached the ministerial association about doing a community memorial service following last week’s candlelight vigil service at the church. She says the ministers that are on the association will participate tonight, along with a special performance from the Perry High School treble choir.

Brownlee stresses that they want to offer a memorial service as a way to help community members heal and find peace from a tragic event.

The memorial service is open to the public.
