A mobile home on 120th Street in Northwest Dallas County was destroyed by fire Saturday morning.

The Perry and Rippey Fire departments and Dallas County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene just after after 8:00 a.m. when a victim of the fire made their way to town and flagged down a Perry Police officer to inform him of the situation.

Responding firefighters extinguished the blaze, but Perry Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Investigator Brian Eiteman tells Raccoon Valley Radio the structure was a total loss by the time they arrived.

Two victims were treated at Dallas County Hospital and have already been released.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire and samples have be sent to the Department of Criminal Investigation crime lab for analysis.
