Panora Fire Dept. flagA fire destroyed a house in Panora Monday afternoon.

According to Guthrie County Dispatch, Panora and Guthrie Center Fire departments, Panora Ambulance and the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office responded to the call of the fire just before 4:45pm. The home is located on Northeast 2nd Street in Panora. When crews arrived on scene, the south side of the house was on fire.

The flames were quickly extinguished, but due to water and heat damage, the house was a total loss. No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported. Panora Fire Chief Matt Harmann says the cause of the accidental fire was likely electrical.
